Playworks Dinas Powys – Club Manager
We are looking to recruit a motivated and dynamic Club Manager for our busy After School Club based on site at Dinas Powys Infants School.
This post is 12 hours per week between the hours of 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm Monday – Thursday, term time with an additional 2 hours per week being paid for planning and preperation time.
The successful applicant must hold a valid level 3 childcare qualification e.g. CACHE level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education/ Level 3 Diploma in Playwork or equivalent qualification and have a minimum of 2 years expeience working in a CIW regulated childcare setting. A level 5 Diploma in Childcare Learning and Development or Level 5 Diploma in Playworks is desirable but not essential. It would be desirable if they held up to date training in Safeguarding, Food Safety, Paediatric First Aid, however, this is not essential and full training can be given
Experince leading a team of staff effectively is essential.
The main duties of the role include
- Undertaking the role of Person in Charge (PIC) Club Manager with The Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
- To oversee the day to day running of your Out of School Clubs.
- To ensure that the club and your team are operating within the Childminding and Daycare regulations 2010 and the National Minimum Standards set by The Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). The clubs will be required to operate and in line with company Policies and Procedures.
- To plan and oversee the delivery of a variety of activities.
- To maintain Health and Safety Standards at all times.
- To manage and support your team ensuring the successful delivery of the service.

We are looking to recurit a motivated Club Assistant to assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of our After School Club based on site at Dinas Powys Infant School.
The post is term time, Monday – Thursday, 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm.
It is essential that the successful applicant must hold a level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or level 2 or Playwork qualification. It is desirable that the successful applicant holds up to date training in Safeguarding, Food Safety, Paediatric First Aid, however, this is not essential and full training can be given.
You must have experience working in a similar type of setting and have a sound understanding of the Childminding and Daycare Regulations Wales 2010 and be able to work effectively as part of a team
A DBS check will be required for the role, the cost of the DBS must be met by the employee.

Playworks Ysgol Mynydd Bychan – Club Assistant
We are looking to recurit a motivated Club Assistant to assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of our After School Club based on site at Ysgol Mynydd Bychan, Cardiff.
The post is term time, Monday – Friday 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm.
This is a Welsh Medium setting, therefore it is essential that the successful applicant is a fluent Welsh speaker. They should also hold a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or Level 2 or 3 Playwork qualification. It is desirable that the successful applicant holds up to date training in Safeguarding, Food Safety, Paediatric First Aid, however, this is not essential and full training can be given.

Playworks Tonysguboriau – Club Assistant
We are looking to recurit a motivated Club Assistant to assist the Club Manager in the day to day running of our Breakfast Club and After School Club based on site at Tonysguboriau Primary School.
The post is term time, Monday – Friday 8.00 am – 9.00 am for Breakfast Club and Thursday 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm for After School Club.
The successful applicant should hold a level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, Level 2 or 3 Playwork qualification or Sports related qualification. It is desirable that the successful applicant holds up to date training in Safeguarding, Food Safety, Paediatric First Aid, however, this is not essential and full training can be given.
You must have experience working in a similar type of setting and have a sound understanding of the Childminding and Daycare Regulations Wales 2010 and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
